As expected this week, the PCE inflation report came in flat. This helped mortgage bond pricing rally back today after a dip earlier this week. The dip was due to a few weak bond auctions earlier in the week and an unexpected improvement in consumer sentiment. This week’s reports are expected to be similar throughout the summer months and do not help the Fed come to terms with its current stance of holding rates. Employment reports will be watched closely in June and may be one of the few market movers for the month.
Program Spotlight: Loan Comparisons
Many clients know the type of financing they would like to get. This may only sometimes be what they expected, or there may be a program that works better for them that they should be informed of. For this reason, a standard part of my business is providing each client with a loan comparison with at least two options. Even if they end up with the financing they initially wanted, this can help them see alternatives available in the future or something they can share with friends, family, and co-workers looking to buy, sell, and refinance.
This comparison comes in handy when a client is looking for a “first-time homebuyer program” or down payment assistance. A side-by-side comparison of a loan without down payment assistance shows the clear pros and cons of each loan. It’s also great for showing different down payment and sales price scenarios. Contact us anytime you have a client who would like customized loan financing options from a lender who listens!
My Favorite Things: Summer Vacations!
If the summer is heating up for you like it is for us at Bison, it’s that time of year when navigating your buyers and sellers’ vacations can get tricky. Bison now has digital closing available for most loan programs, allowing the need for a much smaller closing package to be signed in front of a notary. We will accommodate if we need to pad signing by a few days for out-of-state closings! Let us know as far ahead as possible, and we will build timelines from there. We don’t miss closings at Bison Ventures!
I have two things I’m happy to share with you today:
