In the last few months, we have seen significant client interest in HELOCs, so it is an excellent time to revisit this topic and provide some updates. 

I have been in mortgage banking for over 20 years, and I have never seen as much “HELOC traffic” as I am seeing today. Knowing this, Bison is constantly working to provide the best products to accommodate the market. 

With home equity being historically high with the recent years’ increase in values, it provides an opportunity to tap into more cash if necessary. Historically, most HELOC products would only allow the consumer to pull out up to 80% of the home’s current value (including your existing first mortgage). 

I am pleased to say we now offer these up to 95% of the home’s value!

This more aggressive option exists if it fits your needs and goals. Remember, one of the most significant advantages of a HELOC is you only pay for what you utilize.
